a parody of Belshazzar's feast, Napoleon and a bloated Josephine at the head of a banquet table laden with dishes including Roast Beef of Old England, Tower de Londres, Bank of England, and St James's, etching with aquatint, 250 x 355mm., slight browning and a few faint spots, [BM Satires 10072], H. Humphrey, 1803. Inspired by the threat of invasion in August, 1803, a warning to Napoleon to check his assertion that he only needed three days of fog to become master of London, of parliament, and of the Bank of England.
