Schedel, Hartmann: Liber Chronicarum (The Nuremberg Chronicle). Nuremberg, 1493. Sheet 157 of the incunabula with woodcuts printed on both sides by engravers Wilhelm Pleydenwuff and Michael Wohlegemut, this godfather and teacher of Durer. Latin text. Text, with four inset woodcut illustrations: Portrait of Constantine the 4th, participants in the Sixth Ecumenical Council, a Halley Comet and an Eclipse of the sun and moon. Title: Registrum huius operis libri cronicarum cum figuris et ymaginibus ab inicio mundi. Creators: Schedel, Hartmann, 1440-1514, Pleydenwurff, Wilhelm, d.1494, Woodcutter. After the Bible of Gutenberg, the most famous work printed in the fifteenth century. World history description, from the Creation to the end of the 15th century.
