Stow Wengenroth (American, 1906 - 1978), "Moth, Greenport, N.Y.," 1973 (Stuckey 347), lithograph on paper, signed lower right and editioned ED/75 at lower left, measures 14.25 x 10 inches to the image edge, overall 23.50 x 18.25 inches framed. CONDITION: Good, matt discolored. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Stow Wengenroth studied at the Art Students League and Grand Central Art School. He lived and worked for many years on Long Island and then moved to Rockport, Massachusetts. He is renowned for his carefully wrought scenes of the New England seacoast-- craggy rocks, lighthouses, boats and the sea.
