Die tantrische Gottheit Hayagriva, tibetische Bronzeplastik, gefertigt in Nepal 20. Jh. Zornvolle Erscheinung des tantrischen Buddhismus, dreiköpfig mit flammender Schädelkrone und drei kleinen "Pferdeköpfen" in der Krone (hayagriva = der "Pferdeköpfige"), ein Tigerfell um die Hüften, in den sechs Armen Attribute haltend und auf einem getrennt gegossen Lotussockel Schlangen zertretend, feiner Bronzeguss aus der Verlorenen Form, H 23 cm Hayagriva gehört zu den sogenannten „acht großen Heruka-Gottheiten“ des Mahayoga, er ist eine zornvolle Erscheinungsform des Buddha Amitabha und verkörpert zugleich tatkräftiges Mitgefühl und ist damit ein Ausdruck des Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara.
