Thomas Hart Benton (American, 1889-1975) Approaching Storm, 1938 Lithograph on Rives paper 13" x 9 ¾” (image) Edition of 200   Pencil-signed to the bottom right corner. Commissioned and distributed by The Print Club of Cleveland (Ohio). Alternate title: Noon. The sheet measures 12" x 16" and the glazed frame measures 17" x 21".   Of Approaching Storm, Benton wrote: "Hill plowing in North Carolina. Drawing and painting of subject done in 1938. Painting was sold by A.A.A. in 1939. Litho is much like painting.
