Thomas Hart Benton (1889-1975) New England Farm 1951 The lithograph published by Associated American Artists in an edition of 300 prints is signed by the artist in pencil below the image lower right. A nice, dark impression, this lithograph commissioned and circulated by the Friends of Art of Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kansas. The image is listed as number 73 in The Lithographs of Thomas Hart Benton by Creekmore Fath, Benton's commentary there reads: This is a haying scene on the Martha's Vineyard farm of Denys Wortman, famous NY newspaper cartoonist. Image measures 9 x 14, sheet is 12 x 16, and frame is 15 x 19 inches.
