Philip Gilbert Hamerton (1834-1894) British artist, art critic and author. He was a keen advocate of contemporary printmaking and most of his writings concern the graphic arts. He was an important theorist of the English Etching Revival. Offered here is an Original etching done in 1871, the title is "On The Ternin", image approx. 2-3/4 x 5-1/2 in. plus margins. Signed in the plate [as usual]. Some foxing in upper margin area o/w VG
