SN. 306150T. Cal. 12ga. Built with 34" steel brl that has slightly raised matted ventilated top rib with brass mid and white front beads. Rear portion of rib is scroll engraved as are tops and sides of brl. Both brl lumps engraved "ITHACA GUN CO" on left and "ITHACA, N.Y. U.S.A." on right in banner. Rear portion of brl with 2-3/4" scroll wedge and gold inlaid quail & leaves on both sides. Flame figured American walnut forend is point pattern checkered with scalloped triangular ebony tip and has fully scroll engraved push button release and blued iron. Casehardened receiver is beautifully full coverage scroll engraved, most certainly the work of master engraver Bill McGraw. Left side with large gold inlaid Pointer, right side with gold inlaid Setter, both in oval. Bottom of frame with large raised gold duck and gold inlaid grass in circle. Blued trigger guard is scroll engraved with classic Sousa grade gold inlaid mermaid on bow and SN at tang. Gun made with gold plated trigger and auto ejector. Flame figured American walnut buttstock with wave border checkered side panels and checkered in similar pattern through the pistol grip. Gold grip cap is engraved and has early owners initials "G.W. MCK.". Toeline with gold shield and stock terminates with a small Monte Carlo and thin leather faced white lined pad. Accompanied by a Cody Firearms Museum serial number lookup identifying this gun as 34" Sousa and other details including shipping March 16,1921 to K.L. Eagan.
