SN. FWE158776. Cal. .410ga. Shipped August 1937 and built with 26" brls that have slightly raised matted top rib with brass front bead. Tops of brls with usual maker's stamps. Brl flats with SN and "CHAMBERS/3/INCHES". Beavertail forend checkered in point pattern with roller type release and casehardened iron. Casehardened sidelock receiver engraved in standard Skeet Special pattern with maker's name at front of locks. Blued trigger guard. Gun made with Hunter One trigger, auto ejectors, non-auto safety. Round knob pistol grip walnut buttstock is checkered in point pattern and terminates with its proper checkered butt. Accompanied by an LCSCA research letter identifying this gun as found today and noting this is 1 of just 34 Skeet Specials made in .410, only 8 are identical in configuration to this gun confirming that it is exceptionally rare and quite collectible.
