Tibetan prayer mill in gilded bronze and polychrome cloisonne enamels, Qianlong brand Tibetan prayer mill in gold bronze and cloisonnes enamels, cylindrical in shape with a slightly galbee panse, decora de carteOpenwork ouches on a celestial blue background animated by flowery rinceaux, stylized lotus and pearl friezes. Each cartridge contains a Sanskrit character in white and black enamels, representing the mantra "Om Mani Padme Hum", central symbol of Tibetan Buddhism.The ends of the cylinder are bordered with strips with enamel petals in red, green and ultramarine blue. The upper cover is surmounted by a stylized button-shaped socket and ends with a movable gold metal axis, allowing rotationOf the cylinder in accordance with the ritual tradition. The underside of the mill is marked in Chinese characters golden 大清乾隆年製 (Da Qing Qianlong nian zhi), translated as "Done during the Qianlong reign of the Great Qing Dynasty".
