Open-worked case in the shape of a stylized skull with hinged lid, with engraved and inscribed depictions of “Hygiea (sic)” and “Aesculapius” (Hygieia is considered the patron saint of pharmacists, Aesculapius is the god of healing in Greek mythology); the key decorated with a snake motif. Enameled dial with Roman numerals and outer minute track. Key included, clock runs in short time test. Baird, London und nummeriert 2907; Uhr gepunzt mit Feingehaltsangabe und undeutlicher weiterer Punze. Durchbrochen gearbeitetes Gehäuse in Form eines stilisierten Totenkopfes mit Scharnierdeckel, mit gravierten und bezeichneten Darstellungen von "Hygiea (sic)" und "Aesculap" (Hygieia gilt als Schutzpatronin der Apotheker, Äskulap ist in der griechischen Mythologie der Gott der Heilkunst); der Schlüssel dekoriert mit Schlangenmotiv. Emailliertes Zifferblatt mit römischen Zahlen und äußerer Minuterie. Schlüssel liegt bei, Uhr läuft im Kurzzeittest. H. 5 x L. 9 x B. 5,5 cm.
