A large early 20th century paperweight clock with decorative stand, the watch with brass case having glass hemispheres to the front and back, eight day Swiss movement with lever platform escapement, and roman numeral white enamel dial with gilt spade hands on a griotte marble plinth with gilt feet supporting a central square column with addorsed, silvered dolphins below a brass frame to which the clock is attached with thumbscrews at 6 and 9:00, allowing the timepiece to be positioned for maximum legibility
