This lot features a 1982 Metropolitain Museum of Art facsimile copy of a detail (the head of the Virgin Mary) from Michelangelo's "Pieta". Thie piece was part of the MMA's "Vatican Collections" line. The piece has been set on a frame for a more dramatic display. Measures 13.5" long x 9" wide x 6" deep, 23.5" x 19.5" with frame. This piece comes from the Pakenas estate of Knoxville, Tennessee.
