Chinese Export Porcelain Famille Verte Octagonal Plate, Kangxi. Painted to the center in green, brown iron-red enamels and gold with a pair of swallows or magpies flying near a willow tree and flowering prunus branches, the rim painted with two grasshopper and two butterfly panels reserved on a stippled ground of peony blossoms, the reverse rim painted with three prunus branches in iron-red.
