A QAJAR BRASS ENGRAVED AND PIERCED CASKET Iran, 19th century Of rectangular shape, resting on four architectural feet, with straight walls and a domed, hinged lid featuring a swinging handle. The surface is pierced with floral tendrils and rotating rosettes, interspersed with figurative lobed reserves engraved with courtly scenes, literary characters, divs, and animals.
