AD 1100 - 1300 A collection of three inlaid bucklers, each with a broad circular plate rising to a domed central section encircled by a stepped band of engraved and inlaid Kufic inscriptions alternating with roundels and rosettes, one buckler with an openwork dome of interlaced ornament. Size: 200-240mm x 55-70mm; Weight: 1.96kg. Provenance: Property of a West London gentleman; previously in a collection formed on the UK/International art market before 2000. For similar see: V.
