Ca. AD 1000 - 1300 A bronze basin with a broad, deep body, steeply curving wall and an everted rim. The interior is centred by a lobed rosette within a narrow band of interlaced tendrils, followed in succession by a zone of small radiating motifs, an encircling frieze of animals and a second radiating band. The inner face of the rim is decorated with a calligraphic band. Size: 140mm x 500mm; Weight: 2.2kg.
