Ca. 2500 - 2000 BC A pottery jar with a globular body, broad shoulder and short cylindrical neck. The shoulder and upper body are painted in black on an orange slip, with a main frieze of two long-bodied bulls striding between stylised trees, below a narrow register of running monkeys encircling the neck. Size: 250mm x 240mm; Weight: 1.8kg. Provenance: Property of a West London gentleman; previously in a collection formed on the UK/International art market since the 1970s.
