Dimensions: Height: 13,5 cm Wide 7,5 cm Depth 7,1 cm Weight: 461,4 grams The Buddha is depicted seated in dhyāna (meditation) on a double-lotus base, his right hand lowered in bhūmisparśa mudrā (earth-touching gesture) and his left hand resting in his lap, holding a fragmentary alms bowl. He wears a finely pleated sanghati, its folds rendered in delicate linear detail across the chest and cascading over the legs. The face is finely modeled with arched brows, almond-shaped eyes, and an urna at the forehead, framed by long pendulous ears. His hair is arranged in tight curls rising to the ushnisha. The surface has acquired a deep patina of green and dark brown, with traces of gilt highlights. This figure is characteristic of Swat Valley bronze casting, a tradition that flourished between the 7th and 9th centuries under strong influences from Gandhara and Kashmiri art. The naturalistic modeling of the face, the pleated treatment of the monastic robe, and the compact lotus pedestal exemplify this regional style
