Dimensions: Height 41,5 cm Wide 15 cm Depth 13 cm Weight: 6609 grams Finely cast bronze sculpture depicting Krishna standing gracefully in tribhaṅga, playing the transverse flute (vāṁśī), his right leg crossed elegantly over the left. The youthful deity is shown with a serene, idealized expression, almond-shaped eyes beneath arched brows, and softly modelled facial features. He wears a tall, conical headdress surmounted by a knop, large circular earrings, and a finely detailed necklace. The torso is adorned with delicately incised jewelry, while the lower body is clad in a richly patterned dhoti with carefully rendered pleats and borders. The dynamic posture, gently shifting hips, and rhythmic crossing of the legs convey a sense of movement characteristic of devotional Krishna imagery. The figure stands on a double-lotus base, the petals crisply articulated, resting on a stepped plinth. The bronze displays a deep, naturally developed dark patina with areas of green oxidation, consistent with age and ritual handling. Krishna as the divine cowherd and flute player symbolizes cosmic harmony, divine love, and spiritual attraction.
