His armour is meticulously decorated with brilliant and clear polychrome enamels and gold paint. Lotus and floral scrolls all over, accentuated with a fine Gosu blue color glaze. Underside is a sign of ‘Shûzan’ beneath Shimazu mon. The Satsuma figure is in very condition with only the slightest signs of age.
