Sterling silver Japan, Arthur Bond & Co., Yokohama, circa 1903 Marked on an applied plaque on the underside, 1903, by Arthur Bond & Co., Yokohama, and engraved "First Prize / Putting the Shot / "The German Prize" / Yokohama May 30th 1903, Won by Ernst Schluter" Shaped into a double walled trumpet form The wall is ornamented with a motif of a three clawed dragon amidst cloud scrolls in high relief Crashing waves on the base Height: 8 ¼ in (21 cm) Weight: 552 grams Very good condition Condition The silver bowl is in good condition with usual signs of wear and age.
