YOSHU CHIKANOBU (1838-1912), MIZUNO TOSHIKATA (1866-1908), MIGITA TOSHIHIDE (1863-1923), AND OTHERS Meiji era (1868-1912), late 19th/early 20th century 17 oban tate-e triptychs and one diptych (two sheets from a triptych) print of warriors/legends by various artists, some with all three sheets joined, others in three separate sheets, comprising: five triptychs and one diptych by Chikanobu, including one titled Seisuki Saijo bekkan no zu (The Rise and Decline of the Minamoto and Taira Clans: Annex in Saijo); two triptychs by Toshikata, including one titled Ise Saburo onzoshi kenzan no zu (Ise Saburo Appears to Minamoto no Yoshitsune); three triptychs by Toshihide including one of Kinoshita Tokichiro Ichimatsu no kairiki ni odoroku no zu (Picture of Kinoshita Tokichiro Surprised by the Strength of Ichimatsu); seven triptychs by various artists; variously published and variously signed; each in a plastic sleeve. The smallest: 34.5cm x 71.2cm (13 9/16in x 28in); the largest: 36.7cm x 72.4cm (14 7/16in x 28½in). (18).
