Exceptionally detailed statue of Adolf Hitler from widely recognized German artist and sculptor ADOLF DAUMILLER (1876-1962), measuring approx. 4.5 in. wide at the base and 15.75 in. tall., solid bronze construction, showing Hitler in a full standing pose in an S.A. uniform and prominently wearing his Iron Cross, his left hand gripping a scroll and resting on a podium. The base is constructed of red marble, the same kind often seen in fireplaces of various residences occupied by Hitler. Signed ‘A. DAUMILLER' by the artist just behind the legs. A few minor spots, otherwise in excellent condition. ADOLF DAUMILLER began his art education in Hanau, Germany which he continued in London. Beginning in 1908 he worked in Munich, notably with prominent sculptor Adolf von Hildebrand. During the World War II era, he created sculpture designs for the Rosenthal company which they then made into porcelain.
