Executed in 2016 this work is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist. For this series, the artist has been inspired by the woodblock ukiyo-e Japanese prints. Battisti is using bright bold colours, collage of paper and Japanese newspapers to create this new body of work. Sofia Battisti artworks symbolise isolation in modern society and the complex relationships between individuals created by the technological world.
