Oil on panel painting in the manner of French Painter Jacques Courtois, depicting a cavalier on horseback, a battle stretched out before him in the distance. Painted with a very high level of skill and supported with a previous attribution to “Jacque [sic] Courtois” on the reverse. House in a gilt frame. Painting in good condition, some darkening to varnish, losses to gilding on frame. 14.25 inches height, 10.5 inches width sight. 17.5 inches height, 14 inches width framed.14.25"H x 10.5"W
