I took a photo of her when, suddenly, the man approached us and offered his help. At first she was very scared... ...then she smiled... ... and then she bit into her apple and started to laugh ... Condition: The photos are in a very good condition, showing only the lightest traces from mounting. The frames have only minor traces of usage. The dimensions are 19 x 12.5 cm to 21 x 31.3 cm, while the frames measure 41 x 49.5 cm. Boris Mikhailov (b. 1938) Born in Ukraine, Boris Mikaihov was employed by transport companies and at the same time devoted himself to photography and film auto-didactically. In the beginning, Mikhailov photographed everyday scenes in the Soviet Union, friends, his partners and himself. First, he assembled his photographs in books and then exhibited them in large scale formats. His nude depictions were mostly banned from exhibitions in the Soviet Union. In the 1990s, scholarships took him to New York and Germany. In 2015, Mikhailov was awarded the Kaiserring of the city of Goslar, one of the most prestigious prizes in contemporary art.
