The dimensions are 148.5 x 99 cm each, and the frames measure 153 x 102,5 cm. Boris Mikhailov (b. 1938) Born in Ukraine, Boris Mikaihov was employed by transport companies and at the same time devoted himself to photography and film auto-didactically. In the beginning, Mikhailov photographed everyday scenes in the Soviet Union, friends, his partners and himself. First, he assembled his photographs in books and then exhibited them in large-formats. His nude depictions were mostly banned from exhibitions in the Soviet Union. In the 1990s, scholarships took him to New York and Germany. In 2015, Mikhailov was awarded the Kaiserring of the city of Goslar, one of the most prestigious prizes in contemporary art. He is a member of the Akademie der Künste and lives in Kharkov and Berlin.
