Minot, Paris While little is known about the show itself, the expression "tour of the Grand Dukes" was popular in the late 19th century, and referred to wealthy Russian aristocrats who spent money in Paris with wild abandon, going from one nightclub to the next. The beautifully-drawn composition shows off onesuch gentleman and his much-younger ballerina companion.
