Franz Marc (1880-1916) SCHOPFUNGSGESCHICHTE I (LANKHEIT 842) Woodcut, 1914, on thin cream laid Japan, signed by the artist's wife, Maria Marc, in pencil and with the artist's ink stamp verso, edition of 110, lightstain and matstain, affixed with four small pieces of tape at sheet edges verso to top mat, two small areas of light abrasion at center of top and bottom sheet edges, a few small foxing spots, minor soiling, some unobtrusive handling and other creases, an approximately 1/4 x 1/2 inch loss at bottom left sheet corner (1 7/8 inches from image corner), otherwise in good condition, with full margins, framed. 9 1/2 x 7 7/8 inches; 241 x 200 mm.
