Ludwig Schmidt, a pair of rosewood side chairs, circa 1900, each with marquetry inlaid top rails and front legs 93cm high Ludwig Schmidt was a member of the Austrian Arts and Crafts movement, studying at the Vienna School of Arts and Crafts between 1908 and 1912. He had contracts with Koloman Moser and he worked on the Viennese interior for the Exposition Universelle, Paris 1900, designed by Joseph Albrecht.
