Several sculptures were carved from this tree and shown at Louver Gallery, New York in 1990 as part of a solo show. Carved from a single piece of wood, the sculpture comprises three gestures. The base is tapered and square edged to give a sense of firm support. The middle form is carved as a receiving space that 'mothers' the more fragile third shape which it gently holds." We want tot thank Mr. Nash for this additional information.
