Kröner‘ Dimensions: 66 x 92.5 cm (height x width) The present work of the hunting painter Christian Johann Kröner shows a forest clearing. Their background blurs in the diffuse morning mist. A herd with deer can be found between the low shrubs. While the rear two deer have rattled few birds, looks the front deer almost ossified in direction to the viewer. The scenery is created in the typical atmospheric mood of the painter. The painting is signed lower right ‘C. Kröner’. The surface is light yellowed and the edges of the canvas are frayed.
